Great version of a great pedal
Rich fuzz with the capacity for some aggressive crunch. Classic for a reason.
Easy to use, more flexible than similar EH pedals
I would be surprised if this held up as well, but I was comparing this to the Holy Grail Max and Plus, and found the Tri-Reverb even a bit more user-friendly. Really, any use-able reverb for this price should be worth a shot.
Slick, semi-trans OD for under $40
I'm not a rich dude, but I want some clear grit. This Chinese wonder does the job.
Have the original Little Mark Tube. Fantastic amp
Reliable. Great tone versatility. My only actual criticism is it being a bit quiet in a an 8ohm cab, which probably isn't the case with the 800w version. I usually keep mine almost all the way into the tube blend, then run it through a guitar 4x12 for some DFA1979/Royal Blood-ish sounds. Breaks up wonderfully for a transistor power amp, and light as anything. Save your back, get a Little Mark.
Good learning guitar
Bought a second hand silverburst in iffy condition for $117 in high school. Used it as my learning/project guitar and I still have it. Loaded it with a GFS alnico bridge pickup and a covered humbucker from my buddy's busted up Epiphone G400 in the neck. Usually stay on the neck for better output a roundness of tone. Gone through two sets of tuners, but the Schallers I put in a few years ago have held up.
Beautiful value
Classic beefy Les Paul tone, without the panic and caution necessary as an owner of a Gibson. It stays tuned like a champ and holds up surprisingly well in tropical conditions. Wish they came with whammys, but for some straight up licks, this is your boy. Usually have mine setup with 10s and jump between pickup settings as needed.
Classic strat tone. Love the mint effects.
The only issues I've encountered are some rusting issues being in Hawai'i and having an open air apartment. Also the typical adjustments on the strat tremolo when you change string weights (but if you know how to use a screwdriver, you should be fine). I usually have mine set with Hybrid Slinkys and the pickup selector in between the bridge and center pups. Surf's up!
