Six String Bass at affordably price!

Couple months ago I tried one of those at my local Guitar Center. Honestly, it brings you to the idyllic time of 60's band from California: Offset body in sunburst, tremolo bar, many switches that make it look way more expansive that it really was, Blonde Bassman or Tweed Fender Amp and imagination takes care of the actual sunny August in California.

I am primary a lead guitar player, but this thing would make me to become a bass player. And if you are looking for a sound how to spice your solos as guitarist, without using Octave pedal or detune your Jaguar, this is the real deal. Great thing without musical education you know that you can play 12th fret and higher to get your "regular guitar" sound, and above to get the balls in your solo, riff or improvisation, or just when you want to play bass, baritone and tenor at the same time !

Golden standard of vintage sound WAH pedal with real Fasel inductor.

Every lead guitar player shall have a WahWah. Soon or later everyone comes to a point of his career when he pulls out the stock CryBaby by Jim Dunlop. Honestly I gave it just 3 stars because it is just and ordinary Wah you compare any other Wah to. Definitely there are better ones or more variable, I personally dig Danelectro Zebra TripleWah and Vox V846HW, or worse ones as well.

But GCB95 is a must have, it's the Golden Standard of Quality and tone you will never go wrong with. I personally currently use GCB95F with Fasel inductor and a finally built in real bypass system. Yes, I can not EQ the frequency such I can on others, but I have a copy of an early Thomas Organ Wah with real Fasel inductor. And I know that every each of my heroes -Clapton or Hendrix- once used one just like that. I just can not go wrong with it, when I need to add a little of that 70's / 80's Adult movies vibe to my sound ;)

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that: Please, stop complain that there is no LED to signalise if pedal is on or off. Only a deaf person can not recognise the sound of amp when Wah pedal is on!

Great amp for everyday sound with a little punch of vintage -and more expensive- Fender!

When someone asks me about my Excelsior and how I would summarise it in one sentence I always answer: "It is like 1960's Tremolux, without all the fancy switches and Reverb." Not that I do not like Reverb on Fender Amps, I played those for 5 years, it is just how address the Amp. Also I love that I do not actually miss al the switches; if I want a little different sound, I just switch the input jack holes, and in case I need little punch while gigging I just turn the Bright switch on and since it has 15inch speaker, you get, by my opinion, better texture and accents, than when playing a 2 by 10inch speaker, which you can support by the only geniue Fender Tremolo, that can take care of a small venue or club. And if like the sound and want to play bigger places, you can always hit the extension speaker output in the back and you are set. And last but not least, it looks great as an interior piece of furniture!

True raw power. Ideal for players with great pedal boards, who do not maintain sound from gutar's onboard.

One of the reason's I got my black 2010 Melody Maker, which is right now back home over the Atlantic unplayed almost for 2 years, is that it is USA made, which I got for less than $350 brand new with 3 years warranty.

I got the guitar as as better guitar compared to Epi SG Jr. when I was progressing with my former band. It is, I would say, US made Les Paul Special on a diet. One single coil, high out put pickup with one T and one V control and wrap around bridge - that works really good, once you fine set it. For straight up rockers who love to be loud, but know how to play highly recommended as well -my case- for players, who need just one pickup and have shizload of pedals.

I pretty much got the guitar for its craftsmanship in the USA while giving up some higher standards I could get on Chinese or Indonesian made Epiphone LP Custom or SG G400, so if you are looking for a high quality craftsman ship by Gibson and need just on single and are on a budget go for it!

I love my casino. I own the Gold Top special run one. It sounds great, fully hollow so great sustain with little natural feedback! Works well with most effect pedals, though it is hollow body, you can use and over drive such as Electro Harmonix Line Power Booster 1 without any actual feedback. Though it has P90 it is not super loud guitar, actually my LP with ceramic humbuckers is way louder. I would not recommend for players who like to move and be stage flexible, the guitar is little bit deeper and seems to "bigger" than an Epi Dot and of course the whole guitar's appear is way bigger than a SG or Tele player might know.
