I bought this as my first foray into the G&L lineup after playing Fender Telecasters for a few years. This one features a limited edition finish called "Turquoise Mist," and turquoise just happens to be my birthstone. the satin finish on the neck provides smooth playability, and the humbucking MFD pickup in the neck position gives any Fender Fat Telecaster a run for its money.
I picked this up after having the G&L ASAT Classic Tribute Series Bluesboy a year prior. I wanted the option of something with a single coil in the neck position, since the Bluesboy packs a humbucker. It's perfect. The Tribute Series are made in Indonesia, but still have the same American-made G&L MFD pickups made in California. It's everything a Telecaster wants to be when it grows up.
My go-to acoustic guitar. Incredibly balanced tone. Bright, yet full of low end. The onboard Fishman Sonitone electronics let you adjust both volume and tone separately without sacrificing clarity. Also, you can't beat the price point.
I lucked into a 1969 Twin Reverb with the "drip edge" and JBL D120F speakers. Being a 1969, it has the AB763 circuit like the Blackface models. It sounds so warm and clean. It's the amp I've been chasing for years, and I love it.
