I've owned several guitars in my life. I had a Jackson RR5, a Jackson SL1, and a Gibson Les Paul Trad Pro II. I sold the Jacksons for being too metal, the SL1 for the Floyd Rose being a never-ending ass pain. they were rad guitars for metal but I drifted away from metal. the Les Paul was absolutely beautiful, vintage sunburst, and had the greatest tones for everything from doom and sludge to hardcore punk and beyond. I really miss it. rent sucks. but for me, personally, Fender Jaguars are it. at this point in my life? yeah. Jaguars are the elite. a lot of people don't like the KC Jag because it's obviously modified to sound like Kurt's trashy Jag, but in my own experience I've been able to get a crazy crazy crazy range out of it. I've done gothic rock, post-punk, shoegaze, powerviolence/fastcore, drone doom, hardcore, regular punk, Pearl Jam-esque alternative rock, and naturally Kurt's grungy kind of stuff. it's done all of them absurdly well, imo. in a sense, it's really the perfect type of guitar for me. the price is very nice, low even for what I got, and I've never been more satisfied with a purchase. so, you know, do what you may. try it out. see what it can do. don't be scared just because it's a KC signature.

THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST
Logic Pro has been my bff for a very long time and Logic Pro X somehow managed to expand on the features I like in an almost grandiose manner. it's fabulous.

best sampling
if you need to sample, say for rap or whatever, Ableton makes it super easy. that's the biggest pro. it's a great program in general but for me and my simple needs, it's been absolutely stellar.

heh
it's a good product but I never use it. I think for some people it could be perfect, but to my ears the tones sound a bit too fake. granted, it's still great for practice because of the variety, but it's not what I would use for recording.

lol
I get the best sounds out of this device and I'm not sure how. I want a better setup but for some reason this Stealthplug actually works super well? I guess you have to be good at production too and finding tones in order to make it work. like anything else, it all depends on you.
