Fender style DI box designed by Alex Aguilar. As close to that tone as you can find in a DI

Everything you would like in a J Bass
Holds up to my old American standards both tonal and visually. The finish and woodwork are perfect. Factory setup, however was TERRIBLE.required a Luthier to fine tune to make it playable.

Best micro amp on the market.
From focused and clear to down and dirty - this head has never failed to deliver. Replaced my Mesa Boogie Subway 800+ with this head and have never turned back

Tiny Tower of Power!
Have had two of these on stage (One modified with two Eminence Delta 12LFA's = 4Ohm) with me on stages from 500 to 5,000 and have never had a problem with tone or power. With bottom cab equipped with the Delta 12LFA's it focuses the Lows and Low-Mids with great warmth while the Stock Eminence drivers in the top cab deliver great midrangeg and highs.
Perfect little Bi-Amp system

Fantastic tone tool
The look and sound of a handmade bass.
The MTD Z Series of basses is one of their most popular lines. The series was created for the discerning player that wants the great MTD sound coupled with exceptional beauty. As with all the other Kingston basses, it incorporates many of the superior design elements found on Mike Tobias’ revered American series instruments. It also captures the look of a handmade, boutique-style bass. Carefully constructed using a high quality Mahogany core and beautifully adorned with a Burled Maple top, the Z basses marry beauty with unparalleled performance.
The Kingston Z series is available in 4, 5 and 6-string models as well as fretless and left handed versions. It has a carved mahogany body which has a rich voice and a darker overtone. The maple burl top helps to focus the low end and is incredibly attractive. The two MTD proprietary passive soapbar pickups are wood covered and subtlety reinforce the wood beauty of the maple burl body top. The headstock matches the beauty of the body and the elegantly designed asymmetrical neck ties it all together.

Tobias Standard (Left Hand)
Purchased 1997, found in hole-in-the-wall shop in Princeton, WV. Rare left-handed model
Has toured with me ever since, except for several years missing from theft – finally located and recovered (insure those instruments folks!) Tone is like nothing else I’ve ever played. Perfect midrange growl, funky bottom and crisp tops.
Neck, while finished has never been “sticky” although I do occasionally clean well and give a light rubdown with steel wool to allow it to breathe.
Is a very light maintenance instrument with a full body. HIGHLY recommended if you can get your hands on one.
An extremely rare 90's Japan-made version of the legendary Tobias USA Basic bass, just as they were handbuilt by Mike Tobias in his Californian pre-Gibson workshop. • A four string bass from the Standard series. A premium model by Tobias, a high end bass builder, famous since late 80's for his high quality, exceptionally comfortable and ergonomical instruments. Made in Japan at the Terada factory in Nagoya.
