For 100 bucks, can't complain.
The plan is to get a larger one of these that can distort itself. rest this guy blasting the drum kit or wherever you need to hear that clean crisp sound. Can't decide to upgrade to a BA-112 or BA-115, that's how much I love the sound of this little thing,
Run this stereo or not at all. Truly gives a beatiful sound to the bass.
Another pedal I'd tape if it weren't for one nob. Clean crisp chorus. I can run post or pre distortion depending on set-up, but with a quality bass amp would run one half clean, the other half distorted for metal so low end isn't lost to pure crunch. Again, run this stereo or not at all...
Quality Bass when you can't spend thousands
Something about those pick-ups really do the 5-string justice. You can pull any sound out of this instrument with the right set-up, but it pretty much makes metal all by itself.
It's fun to play with yourself.
Robs bass of low ends. I got it for making basic loops and "to play with myself all day long". This is really made for a guitar, but the built in Spider Jam pre-amp can give the bass some character if played with properly. Improperly, you'll loose your low end... The backing drum beats can give you something to write to and are good quality, also. Supports a mic, so I'll sometiimes spit a back beat before I bass over it. I do not use this live, solely "to play with myself."
The absolutely necessary and cleanest filter the five string bass deserves
This pedal is almost always locked into place at half drive, half blend, half treble. -10 DB cause active pick-ups. It helps keep your strings quiet and articulates notes exquisitely. Full and organic. Just beautiful. Volume is rarely adjusted unless I'm making loops on the JM4, which is mean to the bass. this recovers what is lost with a simple turn, or I would tape it up. 6/5 stars
