Critic Reviews

Ampeg BA-108 V2 review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Ampeg BA-108 V2 is a pocket-friendly, home-use bass combo that offers decent tones and solid build quality. Its compact size and lightweight design make it portable, while the price is attractive for bassists. The custom Ampeg-designed speaker and rugged construction ensure durability. The EQ provides good tonal variation, though it leans towards the classic Ampeg thud, lacking high-definition clarity for slapping. It's not ideal for live performances but suits home and studio settings, delivering warmth and clarity. While limited in performance capabilities, it meets expectations for its price and intended use.

Ampeg BA-108 v2 Combo review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Ampeg BA-108 V2 is a compact and affordable bass practice amp that retains the brand's recognizable tone. Featuring an 8-inch speaker, it offers essential controls and a durable build, making it ideal for home use. While it lacks some advanced features like a built-in tuner or effects, its simple design is user-friendly. The amp delivers a surprisingly loud sound for its size, with a versatile EQ and a touch of Ampeg grit. However, the 8-inch speaker may not suit larger jam sessions. Overall, it's a good value for beginners or home practice.

Versatile and reliable

This amp has yet to fail on me. I use it for both my basses and my guitars, and they both sound amazing! Every other amp I own always have input jack issues after around a year’s use, but this one has held up for around 4-5!

Good bass amp

This is the first bass amp I ever got. It’s really great! Sounds great, and it’s powerful.

Perfect for home...just alone...

I brought this amp 3 months ago My advice is perfect for training in your home, very light ! you can plug earphones ... But, I play with my brother ( guitar ) ....ok is not enough ! he use a combo korsh 40 watts with pedalboards... I need to up the volume and the sound is poor... (he play with minumum power) Good amp for play alone, perfect for beginners !

freezingmoon94

The best beginner bass amp.

For any beginner who just wants to learn to play the electric bass guitar, this amplifier is sufficient to make the player's desired tone.

For a practice amp for a more experienced musician, this does just as well. This is a very affordable amp, at only $99.

Ampeg BA-108 V2

Gets plenty loud, has a button for -15db, great for active basses and most importantly, you can get great sounds out of this little amp! EQ is very responsive, I didn't expect to be able to get such a nice tone from such a small practice amp.

chris13

Great amp for keyboards

Nice sound from a small amp. The cool feature is being able to set it up like a monitor

matthew_mccormick_minor

For 100 bucks, can't complain.

The plan is to get a larger one of these that can distort itself. rest this guy blasting the drum kit or wherever you need to hear that clean crisp sound. Can't decide to upgrade to a BA-112 or BA-115, that's how much I love the sound of this little thing,
