Yes, I've made cassette loops for either drones or beats or what have you. It is very fun in a low tech way. I'd say have at it to anyone, as at worst you ruin a cheap tape. "Walkmen" can be found very cheap, too, so why not?

Just a fan's plug: I've been a rock and pop fan for years, but was getting bored with stuff lately. I do really like Japanese rock though, as it goes in directions different than western rock. SCANDAL has been around ten years, but they are not very well known in parts of the world. It's a shame, since they are very talented players and write great songs. Mami and Haruna, their two guitarists, and Tomomi, their bassist, have pretty intricate gear setups. Check out their Equipboard pages. Haruna uses an OCD, which I have (V4) and which has great tone. Who here has an OCD and what do they think?
