Literally just a direct port.
CYBER SONGMAN II is literally just a direct port of his original VOCALOID4 version. There are no differences at all except for the fact that this version can ONLY work in the VOCALOID5 editor and is not backwards compatible. That being said, CYBER SONGMAN is one of the best VOCALOIDs ever made and this version is worth picking up as long as you don't have the previous version.

A all-time favorite
I love CYBER SONGMAN. He is a strong and clear male English vocal. He has a wide range and sounds nice in both high and low notes. He also comes with two extra phonemes ([4] & [@l]) to make his English sound more relaxed compared to other VOCALOID vocalists. He is one of my all time favorite VOCALOIDs, and the best of the VOCALOID4 era.

CYBER DIVA is a vocal with a strong and crisp voice. This package is just a port of her original VOCALOID4 release without any major differences. Much like her counterpart CYBER SONGMAN, if you have her VOCALOID4 package, there is no need to purchase this version as the VOCALOID4 version still works in the VOCALOID5 editor.

It's been 84 years…
At long last, VY2 got their long awaited update!!! Since they didn't get updated to the V4 engine like their direct counterpart VY1, there was alot of concern and worry that they may not be updated at all. While it is just a update of their main voicebank in the VY2V3 package, there are some quality of life adjustments that makes this worth the purchase (including the addition of growl). The only downside is that their Falsetto voicebank new to their VOCALOID3 release is not included. However, unlike the rest of the VY/CYBER series, they are worth the upgrade, even if you have their V3 release.

Just look for old copies of VY1V4 please.
Hooo boy what a trainwreck. This is literally just a straight port of VY1V4_Normal of her VY1V4 package. What makes this so bad is that they abandoned VY1's more expressive voicebanks and went straight to the worst one. So yeah, if you can skip this release. You're MUCH better off looking for used copies of her VOCALOID4 release which includes her much more expressive Natural, Soft, and Power voicebanks.

VOCAOID5… VOCAOID5… Where to begin?
I guess I can start with "Oof". I wish I could give this program a 5 star rating, I really do. I love VOCALOID, it is my favorite thing in the world (and I may or may not have a problem but that ain't what this's about). The main problem with VOCALOID5 is that it's buggy. It's release was sudden and YAMAHA clearly didn't iron out the bugs and kinks before release. The original version of the software had a bug where it would crash upon exporting a WAV file. Sometimes you could get one render out of it but it was quite rare for that to happen. Later updates fixed one problem but introduced another in the possess. Another notable bug that was introduced was that the program would crash when you would drag drawn parameters. Then ver 5.2.0 introduced what has been my biggest problem with V5. Upon opening a VPR file (which is the successor to the previous VSQx), and if your computer had little hard drive space, or your computer's memory was low, the program will crash. The only way I've ever been able to get around this glitch is by closing all other programs, and deleting A TON of files off of my computer. So far, the latest update did not fix this issue. It saddens me to say this but I would not recommend V5. It's a real shame since there are quite a few great vocals for the software. I love the starter vocals which are included with the software (especially Amy), VY2 got their long awaited update, and Haruno Sora and the MEIKA twins were released by third party companies and they're all great. However, if you do have CUBASE, it does come with the VOCALOID4.5 Editor for CUBASE (which is basically the V4 Editor for CUBASE updated to support V5 vocals) and you can use that instead. Not to mention that unlike the V5 Editor, V4.5 for CUBASE allows you to use imported VOCALOID2 vocals which is an added bonus.

Yuzuki Yukari Complete is everyting a VOCALOID user could ever want.
Yuzuki Yukari is a very expressive vocalist. Her "Onn" voicebank is a soft and delicate vocal while "Lin" has a strong and powerful tone. Her main voicebank "Jun" has a very natural feel to it. These three vocals can be Cross-Synthesized with eachother to create even more tones and are all capable of GWL. I would highly recommend this package to a beginner user of VOCALOID.

A nice vocalist with a cute voice.
MAYU was the third VOCALOID that I purchased. She has an easy to use cute voice that is great for multiple genres. Her voicebank is very fun to work with.

A much needed fix to the disastrous ACT2.
Rin and Len's Append voicebanks fixed a lot of problems that both of their previous releases had. Both Rin and Len had 3 separate voicebanks to create expressive singing. Both had "Power", a strong and clear voicebank. Rin had "Sweet" and Len had "Serious" which were meant to be softer vocals. And then they had "Warm" (Rin) and "Cold" (Len) to naturally fill the gap between their respective voicebanks. Unfortunately, in order to successfully install and activate their appends, you need to have bought their ACT2 software. You'd be unable to use them with out it. You could not install them successfully with just their original package either.

An update that did more harm than good
Kagamine Rin/Len ACT2 was originally built to fix the flaws of their previous release. Unfortunately, this package seemed to of done more harm than good. These vocals are very difficult to use. I don't know how but they sound both "choppy" and "mumbly" at the same time! They lack the power and clarity of their previous release. To be honest, it's best if you skip this one and go straight to their V4X package. Now that that's out, you don't need to get their Appends which fixed up alot of the problems with this package.

ACT1: A lost gem in the VOCALOID software.
To be honest, I got the original version of Rin and Len out of pure luck. This package is extremely difficult to find due to so little of them being produced. Rin and Len's original voicebanks (also nicknamed "ACT1") are strong and powerful. And personally, I find them alot clearer than than their ACT2 update. They do have some difficulties however, they can be choppy and have some phonetic issues (which is why CRYPTON initially pulled them and started working on their ACT2). Unfortunately, their ACT2 wasn't nearly as nice as the original (or atleast in my opinion). If you are a VOCALOID fan, collector, or experienced user in the software, and you have the chance to get this I recommend that you do. Dispite their flaws I find working with them to be alot of fun.

Strong male vocalist, essential for VOCALOID users.
Tonio is a strong male vocalist created by Zero-G. He was intended for opera and is very powerful. He has a nice range and is capable of singing many types of music. His voice is strong and clear and easy to use. The only problem he has is a glitch with the "@" phoneme which may crash the VOCALOID2/3/4 Editor(s).

Nice English, Japanese needs improvement
She's a nice VOCALOID. Her ENG_Straight voicebank is very nice. It is very strong and clear. Her "GWL" capability is also really nice. Surprisingly, her downside is her Japanese vocals, for they are rather choppy. They were used to test out a new singing style known as "EVEC". This can be rather difficult for both new and experienced users to grasp because unlike her followers (Rin/Len & Miku V4X), Luka was the one they tested the feature on and they went rather overboard and hurt the quality of her voicebank.
