It's a tuner.

And it tunes really, really well. The display is bright and easy to see. And the added BonaFide Buffer is a great bonus.

Great head for a working bass player.

I was one of those die hard tube amp guys. Always carrying my heavy, gargantuar vintage rig and insisting to be micked up instead of a DI Box. "The tube sound was superior to transistor, etc." And one day it just came to me, I've sold my vintage stuff and bought this amp, as MarkBass was always held in high regard. And... Poof! For the first time I was able to pack all the things to a car without taking a sweat. At the rehersal I had enough power hear every little niuance in my sound. And later that night at the gig the sound guy just plugged a cable in the back of the head, there were no mic problems, etc. From that moment I've never looked back. Little Mark Tube 800 is here to stay. The head itself sounds dope and greatly enhances the instrument you play. It is very versetile and the combination of VLE and VPF knobs can get you some interesting sound.

The Ultimate Cheap Overdrive.

Sometime ago I was hired as a fill in bassists for a rock band. I didn't have an overdrive pedal at the time so I went to a local store and the clerk suggested The Ultimate Drive. He said it's basically the copy of the OCD and it's really cheap, so I bought it. When I was about to leave he also hinted to plug it with 18 V, just like the original OCD. And so I did. I still have it and still use it somewhat regularly. Somday might update it to the OCD, but... The Joyo JF-02 probably is the Ultimate Cheap Overdrive.

A classic.

Can't go wrong with that one. It just sounds great. The only real issue I have with it is the auto-return switching - and what I mean with that is, the added sound when the pedal adjusts to the beginning position, when not timed right it can really mess up the line BUT when you know it you can avoid it. Still a solid build, solid sounding, classic bass pedal.

A truly amazing instrument.

Probably my favourite classic bass ever. From the humble beginnings I always dreamt of one and when I finally got one in 2014 and it subverted my expectations! It's the instrument that really cuts through the mix and just slays in the concert environment. It's always in tune and performes great in many different alternative/dropped tunings. I just can't stop playing on it, even after almost 10 years.
