Creates a great dark foundation of fuzz to build songs on.
Have used this on recordings, jams, and live; great build quality, unique and variable fuzz that can cut through for leads or laydown a carpet of fuzz which the other instruments and vocals can stand on.

Hits the preamp tubes producing amazing sound, very versatile.
Use it to sharpen clean tones or overdrive the tubes to a great growl - the toggle switch allows you to focus on the highs, the lows, or keep things flat - can shape the lows and highs independently with separate knobs, drive knob gets you from clean to Sabbath dirt.

Love my Les Paul Studio Faded
This guitar gets most of its workout in the studio (recording original compositions: a mix of post-punk, indie, blues, rock, country, folk ...). Love how it can produce rich, smooth, warmth, and aggressive, piercing, snarls. Great sustain. The neck is great for leads and chords, really feels great. I love how it is just black and silver (with the brown of the rosewood, of course), not the typical image that comes up in a person's head when they think of a Les Paul, but for me, perfect.

Great Overdrive
The OCD reacts so well to your picking, a soft attack yields a wonderful clean sound, then go a bit harder and the dirty comes in. Also keeps your guitar sound like it should, you're playing a Strat, it sounds like a Strat, a Les Paul, it's a Les Paul.

its actually a very refined voodoo lab overdrive, not the sparkle drive, but the odler overdrive that's discontinued. That circuit is basically a Rat with a very important difference, the back to back clipping diodes don't shunt to ground, they shunt to the 1st opamp stage's bias potential making the clipping threshold variable based on your playing... fuller stole this great idea and refined the tone control, voicing and switched the stock diodes 2 diode-wired mosfets with an extra germanium diode on one side (ala boss' DS1) to wring maximum amplike response from an already good circuit. Which is why eh makes the big bucks even though he never invents anything himself.

Thanks for the Jimmarchi1 - good to know the story behind the pedal.

Pure heaven for me.
Go to guitar when playing live: great tones, from postpunk to gentle country, love playing No Mourners on it.

Love playing through this, once I plug in, I'll go for hours.
Amazing tone, takes pedals so well, brings out the nuances of the guitar. Love it clean and dirty.
