Keeping their promise
By lifting my monitors up to a pretty good height with a slight tilt, optimizing my listening position, and cleaning up the bottom end, they really do make a difference.

Tailored to my ears
For the last 3 months, I tried to find the perfect set of monitors, and I think I´ve found them; At least for my ears. I´ve compared them to the Yamaha HS Series, the KRK Rokit, the JBL LSR, Adam F5, Mackie (forgot the model) and they´re all great (except for the KRK to be totally honest), but the Focal just sounded so much clearer and balanced. I recommend listening to them and making up your own opinion as monitors in general are a pretty personal companion.

Great Headphones with the possibility of changing it´s cable
In their price-range, it´s all about your preference and what´s most appealing to you. After listening to most of the headphones that were available at the store and directly comparing them, I narrowed my list of favorites down to the ATH-M50x and the Beyerdynamic DT 770. These two are very close in terms of sound, but the Audio Technica have a changable cable, which ultimately made me go with them; Plus: they look great.

A perfect & very affordable all-rounder
The Minilab MKII is the next generation of Arturia´s Minilab Controller. It features 25 slim keys, 16 knobs, 8 pads, 2 touch strips (pitch & modulation) and comes with a lite version of the Analog Lab (Upgrade to Analob Lab Lite 2 available for 29€ /$), Ableton Live Lite and a sampled Grand Piano Model D. Designed and built very well, it´s definitely an eye catcher for your home studio that feels good playing.
