Yes, there are differences between the two. The stock Vox (847a) is a little brighter and the standard cry baby (cgb95) is a lil fatter. I'd recommend you trying the Dunlop Cry Baby 535Q, it's true bypass, it has a lot of easy access tonal options and you won't break the bank.
