Don't be like that.
Ofcourse an opinion is very subjective to one's personal experience of a guitarist. For one person a great guitarist is one that is very technical and has a lot of speed, for another it's more about the "feel" a guitarist has and maybe for another it's more about super creative playing that makes a person tick. There's no real definition of a great guitarist, only our subjective experience.
You see, with this thread, the goal is not give some guitarists the stamp of approval. Rather, it's getting some names out there, that some of us might have never heard of, so we can see for ourselves if this "new" guitarist clicks with your personal taste.

I don't know if you're still pedal hunting. If you are, then here's what I have to say about it.
You can get some pretty sweet gear upgrades with 250 - 300 bucks at hand. If you're looking to get an overdrive and reverb, then these pedals will suit your needs.
Overdrive As an overdrive then I'd say go for the Seymour Duncan 805. It is a great overdrive pedal that can be used as a clean boost. The 805 is a very versatile pedal, leaving you plenty of room to play around in different styles. If you're looking to read about some other overdrive pedals, I wrote a little article about it.
Reverb As for reverb pedals, there are also some great options out there. Go for a Digitech Polara as a new reverb pedal. This reverb pedal features lexicon reverb algorithms, creating sublime organic reverb sounds. The pedal also takes up relatively little real estate for the amount of features you will get. I wrote more about the pedal and others in an article about the best reverb pedals, feel free to check it out, or not ;)
Anyways, in your price range, I think these pedals are a great addition to your rig, as you will get two high quality guitar pedals instead of one.
I hope it helped!

Your favorite and least favorite musicians.
Favorite: Rebecca Black -> Very talented; Great voice; Charismatic.
Least favorite: Jimi Hendrix -> Unoriginal; Arrogant.

Good job man, exposing yourself like that!
I am not the expert by any means, but I'd suggest playing and singing the songs in a lower pitch or do excersises to increase your vocal range. Especially in the parts of the song where you sing high, you go out of tune.
Another thing, in terms of editing. It felt like you were not really there, more like you were far away, well, at least your voice sounds like that.
Anyway, keep it up man!

Let me know what you think is a guitarist that deserves more recognition. I'd like to know more awesome guitarists and so, probably, do you.

My first amp was a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe II, bought it second hand for a bargain at € 300,-.
Bought it when I was still living with my parents in their old house with thin walls. When the neighbours kept complaining as did my mom I moved it in and out of the shed whenever I wanted to play. Quite a hassle, but it was worth it.

The Hello-Thread: Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself 👋
Hi gear junkies and fellow musicians! Just joined this forum.
Let me give you a short intro: Nik, 26 from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Traded bad taste for good taste of music when I was 17 and started with playing guitar. Ever since, I've been adicted with learning and playing. I kind of feel sorry for my family that they had to endure about 6 hours a day of me messing up songs in the living room almost every day for the first year.
For the last two years, living in a terribly soundproofed appartment in a flat, wasn't too great of an experience, since I can't play amplified too often. I do however, all the more, play my electric unamplified.
Into playing Blues, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Disco and Pop. Massive fan of JM's playing style. Lately, when improvising, I really like to bring the kind of percussive and groovey blues you for example hear in this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7dAWgBnMW8
Anyways, I got a little project of running a website where I write about and, simultaneously, learn about everything guitar related.
Love to hear back from you guys!

What string gauges does everyone use?
For my acoustics, I use Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 bronze .011s.
For my electrics, I use D'Addario Pure Nickel .010s. I like to use strings that give me at least some resistance when bending. You hear a big difference in my opinion between .009 and .010. It really misses that body in the tone.
Fattening up your tone was brought to another level by Stevie, he played on .013s, you'd need some serious calluses for that... In order to do that he had to tune his guitar to E flat.
