Just overall better focusrite alternative, especially for vocals and acoustic instruments
A few nuances with drivers on windows 7 (just need to disable friver signature cheking) but nice sound, compared to a focusrite scarlet series. Vocals and acoustic guitars recorded with this interface have slightly rolled-off top-end wich is helpfull when recording strumming and high pitch vocals+ its kind magic, but somehow sounds recorded with this interface are already sitting nice together in the mix both in terms of frequences and the sense of space of the mix, soundstage just feels natural. Again, much better then scarlet counterpart.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Guitar DI recording feels nice when not using Hi-z mode, at least for the single-coils Guitar amp micing feels nice when amp set to be loud and gain knob is set on 0
Really more gibsonish than Gibson studio line
Nice warm and mellow sound, very round and butterish Feels nice, but tuning pegs desired to be better
Best latency, best audio interface under 200$
This product is so miracleusely underpriced, buying it used for 30$ feels heaven. Its DAC/ADC are sitting just betwen focusrite/steinberg and RME/UAD for a fraction of a price. Latency can be set for 3-5ms in-out for 256 buffer size. Suitable for headphones up to 250ohm, but you will need a Y-cable. Outputs are balanced, so you can hook it up to something like monitoring controller or professional studio monitors, and it realy will be much betterr than anu usb-audio interface under 700-1000$.
Best for the price.
It combines a live, very clean tube tone with nice mid-ranged jensen speaker, perfect for distortion and overdrive pedal. It may not give you fat metal chug, but overdrive/dist for punk-rock, indie is great, it my be a bit thin for metal, but alive and agressive, with nice crisp crunch

5% attenuation for tube distortion full 10-10 for recording sounds cool with distortion pedals like ds-2 sounds cool when tube distortion and pedal distortion recorded separately and than mixed together
Exceptional recording clarity and superior USB performance
Maybe not as mellow as its non-FS predecessor, babyface pro FS is just over-all best USB interface on the planet now. It offers amazing 2ms in-out latency in 32 buffer size and 5-7ms in 256, greatest driver in terms of stability, essential for professional work, where any other brand's interface have a tandency to fail from time to time, the RME products are rock-solid. Recording and monitoring are crystal clear, the interface brings to live even cheap audio devices and electric guitars, transparent, consistent, predictable sound.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
48kHz 256 buffer for real-time recording in DAW with vst's on recording channels.
