The only Roland amp they produced with valves. It is a hybrid solid state/valve deal. Effects send, spring reverb, master volume....

Tasty entry-level 8 string Tenor Uke.

I researched this quite a bit before purchase and all the reviews I read pointed to Baton Rouge V2-T8 sun as being a decent, good sounding 8 string Tenor Uke. They were not wrong. Great chorus sounding uke, well made stays in tune.

Another really decent transistor amp from Roland. 1x12 Roland speaker, real spring reverb and best of all tremelo!!!

Indian made Quality Strat copy from budget brand

Despite the budget brand associations this is a seriously nice guitar. Made in India for only a few years in the early 1990s, Solid ash body, Indian Rosewood fretboard, Don Lace Single Coil Pickups, Wilkinson Tremolo and Grover tuners!! Wanted a strat-type single coil guitar ever since I stupidly sold my very 1st electric guitar (Arctic white Ibanez Roadstar II with locking tremolo). Bought for less then £50 on Ebay!! Bargain. Mins is see-through black with pearloid scratch-plate, nice!

Lovely standard Japanese Classical Guitar

My first guitar and lately the one I play most. Simple, well made Japanese nylon string classical. Probably laminated spruce top made by Ibanez in Japan mid 1980s.

Made in Japan in 1985. Owned it since 1988. Been round the world a few times and still sounds decent.

Nice Made in England Solid State 60W Combo Amp.

Carpet covered 60 W combo from Custom Sound of Leeds. Probably late 70s early 80's. 1 X12 Inch Celestion Speaker, nice real spring reverb, built in Chorus. Heavy old mother too. Really decent midrange tones with some surprisingly tasty grunt and dirt for an all transistor amp. Picked it up for £30 on Ebay UK, would never sell it.

Encore Vintage Standard Strat

Made in India, seriously well-appointed Strat copy. Ash body, Canadian Rock Maple Neck, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, Don Lace Pickups, Wilkinson Tremelo, Grover Tuners. Mine is the VS2, transparent black finish, amazing player, exceptional quality materials and craftsmanship from budget maker. A short lived Indian made production line from Encore. Knocks Equivalent Fender guitars out of the stadium!

Kasuga Made in Japan Pre-Lawsuit LP Custom 1970

As old as I am, superb made in Japan copy of Gibson Les Paul Custom. Mine is sunburst, seriously heavy and a beautiful dark, fat tone. Easily as good or better than the almost $5000 genuine LP of today.

Washburn HB-35

Pretty much a Gibson 335 copy, twin humbuckers, no trem, separate tone and volume pots for each HB. I have a made in Korea model from late 1980s with the skunk stripe down the back of the neck, nice!

Ovation Preacher my favourite electric.

I bought this 1970s solid mahogany, stereo version of the Preacher from a guitar shop in Bedford, New York on a recording trip in 1999, complete with original Ovation case. Ebony fingerboard, super-cool quiet mini-humbuckers and mono and stereo jacks. I have the see-through redish colour. My guitar set-up guy described the sound as "raunchy" and offered to buy it on the spot.
