David McCormack is confirmed to use a Teisco EP-2L guitar, as evidenced by photos from his eBay listing of the instrument, as well as a photo featured in the "Wahooti Fandango" booklet.

David McCormack used the Fender Japan Thinline Telecaster '69 Reissue, which he purchased in the mid-1990s to replace his custom “Frankenstein” guitar built by Robert Moore. This guitar became his main instrument for Custard until their disbandment in late 1999. He is seen playing it at the Crowded House Farewell Gig in November 1996, as evidenced by the video titled "Custard Live At The Sydney Opera House 1996" on YouTube, uploaded by Jason_Andrew_Relva.
