Tiny Tim
Tiny Tim's Gear
Tiny Tim's resonator concert ukulele. Built by Beltona Resonator Instruments. Peter Brooke Turner, a founder member of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, lend his resonator ukulele to Tiny Tim for a few gigs. So Tiny Tim asked Beltona to built him one like Peter's. The dent on the ukulele was done when Tiny Tim dropped it when he had a heart attack on his last performance on November 30, 1996 in Women's Club of Minneapolis for a gala benefit, sad and unfortunate end to this musician. Now the ukulele is owned by Tim Smithies of Dead Mans Uke. Pictures of the ukulele http://kjp-photography.weebly.com/blog
Tiny Tim got his 1930s/40s Martin Style 0 ukulele apparently in 1986. The first time he is seen with it is in his debut in Laugh In and it was the one he used on his album Good Bless Tiny Tim
