Handy for Playing in Isolation

The Sonic Port is one of the most intriguing iOS peripherals I've found. Also one of the most expensive.

I love that the sonic port packs the features of th FX100 into such a tight package. The sound quality is good but you will need quality, isolating headphones. This thing is a great solution for apartment dwellers. I use mine at the office when I need a little break but don't want to enrage the office mates.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of headphones when playing so the Sonic Port has its limit of tolerance for me. If I had to use this day-in, day-out, I'd go claustrophobic nutters, but for short sessions it does the job quite well. ~m

Easy Means to a Plethora of Sound Profiles

I purchased the Amplifi FX100 after 2 friends made the recommendation.

I love it for the ease of discovering fully explored sound profiles. It is fun to search tones based on Artists and songs. The sounds quality is very good. I like the rig as a compact, ready to roll pedal board.

The downside, depending on your personality, is that this rig is a time suck. If you love to tweak, you can lose yourself in twiddling the hours away. If tweaking is not your thing, you will also be happy to find many presets that are ready to roll. Given the community aspect, there are more coming on all the time.

Build quality is a little off. It is a solid rig that I feel I can trust, but the paint was a it shoddy. Otherwise, seamingly solid. Instructions are also Spartan, so be warned, you can count on fumbling around before getting comfortable with the operational features. BluTooth functionality is the single worst thing about the gear. It is unpredictable and drops out at the most inconvenient times which is seriously agrivating.

Good or bad, what the FX100 has done for me is introduce me to some interesting tones and has ultimately sent me on the hunt for specific, standalone pedals. I'm digging the hunt even if my patience (and wallet) is not. ~m

Clean in Every Way

I was tired of dicking around with the batteries required feed my small stable of guitar pedals so did a healthy bit of searching. The Aetos proved to be great. Super clean in look, operation and sound. Running with a Roland Blues Cube. Clean sound is what I'm after, and I am extremely happy with this little box. UPDATE: I have found that the Walrus Aetos does not have the amperage to run some Strymon pedals. More an issue with Strymon than Walrus, but worth noting.

Excellent Amplifier

Superlative Clean channel with a robust, Crunch channel. The "Dual Tone" feature allows for blending of the two. The Power Control feature is really solid, with the option to go full power or dial it back to 45W, 15W, or as low as .5W! The response is as close to tube-esque as you'll ever find. Bonus feature is the optional Tune Capsule add on which I've yet to try. I LOVE this amp. Simply love it. ~m
