I feel this keyboard is the perfect step up from the Akai MPK mini. I used the Akai for a really long time, but eventually I hit a point that I wanted to upgrade, so I went with this keyboard. It's really smooth, easy to play on, and was perfect for a beginner such as myself.

I have had my Rokits for about 2 years now, while they are fantastic monitors, as my ears begin to become better trained, I notice there is a lack of low-end in them, and while they are amazing for now, if I ever upgrade my monitors again, these will be the first to go.

I have used Ableton off and on for a few years, I used to bounce back and forth with FL, but eventually I just decided to focus on one DAW, so I chose Ableton. I love the routing, the layout, and everything about it.
