Cheap but good
This is a cheap delay pedal, totally digital. Nothing special for the digital delay tone, it has more delay time that most of us need. The analog simulation is fairly good though, I use it as a short delay/slapback kind of sounds, with not may repetitions. I think it's great for the gigging musician, in fact I got it on my pedalboard. The tonelok feature is awesome, if you play live, especially if you don't tweak it. Bought it for 40 euros, does its job, no complains at all. If you don't have special needs, buy this.
A classic Marshall
My Super Bass is from 1971. This is the amp that John Frusciante uses, since a long time. I use it with guitar, and it's just an unmanageable monster, it's beyond loud. For achieve the "right" Marshall sound, you have to set the volume at 6-7, and it's just too much for almost any venue. You can use an attenuator, or something like that, otherwise it's impossible to use. You can use it at 2, but it's just a clean amp, and it doesn't make sense at all. If you use it at a proper volume, and push it with a simple overdrive, you have the iconic sound you heard on many records.
It changed my mind
I'm an amp analog guy, and I just wanted something to use live, in very small venues. I didn't wanted to spend a lot of money, so I bought one of these, used. With the pedal, you get the software too, which you can use in your daw for recording, as a plugin. Plus, you have access to thousands of user profiles, and you can profile your own amps too. The technology used is not perfect: you basically get a pic of the sound you profiled, and if you tweak too much the settings, like equalization or gain, the sound get a bit worse. But in a live situation, I just tweaked eq a bit on the fly, and it was ok. I sometimes add reverb on the fly, while I'm in a live situation: you can set your reverb on the software, and then have it live, when needed. Same thing for compression and modulation effects. You have to properly set the overall input and output level of the pedal, otherwise you'll have some issues. For example, when I started using it, my boost pedal wasn't able to boost, because I didn't had enough headroom. You can load distortion/fuzz/overdrive profiles too. When I don't use it as amp simulator, I keep it on my pedalboard, and use it as a reverb pedal. I use it as a clean amp, and add all the distortions I need with pedals. You have to spend some time to try all the profiles you have available, and find the good ones for you. You can also change the IR cabs, with your favorite ones. It's not the easiest to use, but once you know how to use it, it's such a fantastic compact pedal, at a small price, tons of capabilities. Highly recommended, from a vintage analog guy.
You can't ask for more.
I always used wah pedals, since I started playing guitar, 33 years ago. Don't think this is a wah just for metal heads, this can be used on a lot of music genres. Not the easiest to dial in, you have to spend some time with it, to achieve the best results. If you don't have patience, don't buy it. But it's a fantastic sounding wah pedal, once you learn to use it. I love the tones you can get, and I love the boost button on the side of the pedal: you can engage it even when you're playing in a live situation, and it has a lot of boost, it's like a built in MXR Micro amp. It's very heavy, but it never breaks, and it has a good rocking excursion. Never been a crybaby fan, but this is different. From Jimi to Dimebag, and all in between!
Iconic pedal
May not be the most versatile chorus on earth, but for me it has the best tone ever. I have quite some chorus pedals, and I got 3 CE2, japanese and taiwan. You just can't beat the warmth and lush of the CE2. Doesn't have a lot of speed, but it's enough for regular chorus sounds. It made the history of rock. Buy one and be happy.
A very good one.
I gave 3 stars, but I got on my pedalboard, since I don't know when, probably 10 years. Good analog sound quality, tone and gain knobs allows you to fine tune the sound. I don't use the external expression pedal, because it controls the feedback, I'd preferred a speed control instead. It's not the simple to get the setting you want, especially for the wet/dry control. If you spend some time with it, you'll get what you need, and some more.
It does the job, beautifully.
Not a perfect Klon clone, but who cares, I'm not in search of it. It has a ton of volume, more than you need. Can be used as a booster, light overdrive, or can replace your tubescreamer, with less mid bump. I use it with my TS10, for solos, and it's perfect. Tone control is useful, when you boost the treble, it doesn't cut too much of bass frequencies. It's not just for lawyers blues guitarists with a 59 Les Paul, it's excellent for raw punk rock, alternative rock, and all the sounds that needs gain and definition.
Compact and powerful
I have the original EHX Ram's head, green russian Big Muff, Guild Foxey Lady, Op Amp Deluxe Big Muff, and other Big Muffs. This is the one I use in my pedalboard. It's small, it has top in/out, it's very versatile and can be crunchy or very heavy, with good clarity. It's the desert island big muff. Don't look further, buy this!
