A great silent alternative to a practice amp
Living in an apartment, this is a great way to get great audio quality for practicing & recording without needing to use a real amp. It's very responsive, has no noticeable ping, and the headphone driver works well. I only wish I got the duo instead for more options, but this is good if you are only working with one instrument.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
If using with a guitar, you should pair this with a cheap amp sim pedal like the Joyo American Sound. The Scarlett's internal amp gets overwhelmed by high-gain, direct-in signals which leads to major audio quality issues.

Almost Magic
For a single, cheap power source, this manages to power my pedalboard using daisy chains alone with minimal interference. I plan to use this until my board gets complicated enough to upgrade, but it's really the only option needed more a starter/basic board.

A Solid Starter Mic
The h1n is incredibly versatile for the price, and the audio quality is solid both in the field and studio. You WILL need to get a pop filter for it to be useable though, and the gain settings can be really touchy. I've used this in the past for field interviews and studio vocals, and it's found a good secondhand use as a USB mic for Discord and video calls.
