The SSHAC, or "Sky Snake Hawk Attack Chorus" was born out of our desire for an analog bucket brigade chorus pedal that felt just out of reach. We set out to build upon all the things we loved from the classics by breathing new life into what we feel is the perfect chorus. This included making sure the SSHAC retained low end, has no volume drop, & giving you access to faster “rate” speeds.

With the ability to do everything from slow, lush, ballad inducing chorus, to Leslie-esque rotary tones, all the way to pure, warm & beautiful vibrato the SSHAC gives you access to anything you can dream up.

The “Wet” output runs through the analog bucket brigade circuit and has the affected signal. The “Dry” output is pulled directly from the input buffer stage. The “Dry” output allows the SSHAC to be run in stereo to give you everything from a subtle yet wide spread to a sea sick onslaught of the senses.

“BLEND” controls the mix of dry vs modulated signal sent to the “WET” output. This allows the SSHAC to give you everything from subtle chorus to pure vibrato. Fully CW (right) is completely dry with no modulation. Fully CCW (left) is pure vibrato with no dry signal. Everything in between is varying degrees of chorus.

“DEPTH” controls the amplitude of pitch modulation. Lower settings will be more subtle, higher settings will be more dramatic. Fully CCW is minimum pitch deviation. Fully CW is maximum pitch deviation.

“SPEED” controls how quickly the pitch modulates. Fully CCW is minimum speed. Fully CW is maximum speed. The rate LED under the "SPEED" knob shows you how quickly the pedal is modulating.

Since the SSHAC is a fully analog bucket brigade chorus, you’ll notice that as you run it closer to pure “vibrato” your top end will start to roll off a bit & become warmer. This is due to the filtering necessary for eliminating clock noise in the circuit.

When running the SSHAC in mono, use the “Wet” output only.

The SSHAC is 9V ONLY & the power draw is less than 75mA (around 50mA). It has soft switching with an adjustable start up state.

To put it bluntly, we’ve spent thousands on both new & VINTAGE octave fuzz’s - in search of the holy grail! To our ears, we deemed a very rare vintage 1970’s Octavia the gold standard for its SPOOKY magic. The Theseus Dual Overdrive is based on the Analogman King of Tone, a dual-channel drive pedal first released in 2003 that played a big part in kicking off the boutique/handmade pedal trend. In the past two decades it has only grown in popularity, and as of this project’s release, waitlist is around 4 ½ years.

The King of Tone is essentially two modified Marshall Bluesbreakers in series, each independently switchable so they can be used on their own or stacked one into the other for a more complex and natural overdriven sound. Each channel has an internal presence control as well as DIP switches that control the clipping diode configuration.

In 2009, Analogman began offering a “high gain” modification that can be selected as part of the customization. We’ve added a third DIP switch position to allow this to be switchable per channel instead of being a hard-wired modification.

Otherwise, the Theseus is a direct clone of the King of Tone, but with one added convenience: a send/return loop between the channels. This allows the two pedals to be split up so you can have more flexibility in where they are used on the pedalboard, or put something in between them such as a boost or EQ for added tone shaping. If nothing is plugged into the send/return jacks, the loop is disabled.

In 2012, Analogman released the Prince of Tone, a single-channel version with a few extra tweaks. The Prince of Tone is available from Aion FX as the Achilles Amp Overdrive.

Want a mirror image of your tone, only louder? This is it. The Katana Boost is also a fat, harmonically rich boost, just pull out on the volume knob and stretch your imagination with overdriven tone! You can keep it on all the time to push your amp harder, or as an occasional boost to cut through the mix.

Obsessed or Compelled with the Fattest, Fullest Drive? Well, Before other people started using Blue LED’s and non-diode clipping stages, there was the TMB and Katana…. Cascading FET stages do the tube-amp-thing like nothing else!

The Katana circuit is Robert Keeley’s first guitar effect design for Keeley Electronics. It was originally designed for Legendary Tones for the Time Machine Boost but then became an independent product under the Keeley name after the Compressor came out. Robert’s very first effect pedal design (1999) was a digitally controlled Analog Delay complete with built in digital tuner. It worked perfectly and can even be seen at the shop from time to time. Delay times could be input via a keypad to enter the amount of delay in milliseconds or by potentiometers. The Katana is no less stunning in its beautiful simplicity and stunning sound quality.

Two modes, Pure Clean and High Gain

1. With the speed knob Pushed In, think of it as a volume control that goes to 20.

2. With the speed knob Pulled Out, it’s a cutting boost with a bit of gain. Not quite an overdrive, just overdriven tube grit and edge to your tone.

Dual FETs for the most tube like tone in a transistor design. Power Doubling on the inside so you put 9VDC in, and we use a charge pump to nearly double operating voltage! (Caution – 9 Volt DC Maximum Input Voltage (don’t try to put 18 volts to the unit hoping that the doubler will make it 36VDC!)

Now with a Custom Shop Glow in the Dark Silver Sparkle Finish! By day, it looks like our classic Java Boost. At night, it will be the shining star of your pedalboard!

We used a glow in the dark clear coat for a subtle glow effect when the lights go out. Here’s a shot of an early prototype. Treble Booster designs give you classic cutting guitar tones from the 60’s and 70’s. It is not a clean boost.

The Java Boost for 2018 has a Russian MP41A germanium transistor.

It must be used with a cranked amp that is overdriven or distorting a bit already. Cranking the amp and pedal will result in more creamy, beautiful, sustaining distortion with the Java Boost.

The Java Boost is most widely used with a tube amp set to a bit of overdrive or clipping which is the key to getting a great sound from this pedal. Setting the Java Boost in front of a very clean amp with the volume on 1-2 will surely result in a fairly weak guitar tone! Set the amp for some breakup, then click the Java on. There, you’ll have a fantastic sound and see why people rave about the Java Boost.

The Java Boost is not related to the TS9 or Blues Driver, or any other distortion or overdrive pedal. Boss and Ibanez do not make anything like it!

This product is a Treble Booster by design, not a typical overdrive or distortion pedal. That means, the higher the note played, the more it gets amplified and then, by your amp, distorted. Bass notes get cut in two modes on the Java Boost!

Some people don’t have experience with treble boosters. This can make using the Java Boost difficult if you try to use it with a huge power amp that has tons of headroom or doesn’t distort easily. The trick to get the Java Boost to outperform any other pedal is to have the right amp settings. The amp should be on the verge of breakup or greater. This is where the wealth of tone will is possible.

Another way to run it is before an overdrive pedal. This is the pedal to get if you want a two pedal overdrive setup. Couple this in front of a TS9 or BD-2 and the results are simply amazing. This will add sparkle and life to your solos like no other pedal can.

So what if your amp is set to super clean?!?! No problem, I’ve found that I love the Java Boost in front of most other overdrive pedals! Yes, simply use the Java in front of your blues driver, TS, DS, BD, SD, FF type pedal and you get similar results when the standard overdrive pedal is on.!

This is a 2 channel, 5 mode pre-amplifier (booster) for driving your amplifiers into overdrive or saturation. The two channels on the pre-amplifier are labeled Vintage and Modern. The Vintage side is inspired by rare germanium boosts like the Dallas Rangemaster. The Modern side a new +23dB gain dual JFET, very transparent, guitar signal amplifier. The Time Machine Boast design uses a Maxim MAX1044 voltage doubling IC to get additional headroom. As with all Keeley built electronics it incorporates top-of-the-line audiophile-style parts. Each unit’s germanium Vintage side is fine tuned by careful calibration and finally ear tuned to get the perfect treble boosting tones from your amp. The Modern side features the popular J201 JFETS for maximum tube-like tone and pristine, clear highs. This is a booster designed to be used with other overdrive pedals to complete a tone-package or drive section of your effects setup. This is not an overdrive or distortion pedal. You need to use it with other OD pedals.

The long history of the Time Machine Boost starts back in 2002 with David Szabados and Robert Keeley designing a pedal together. That company was called Legendary Tones. Being one of only a few pedals to ever be completely point-to-point wired at that time, the pedal went on to gain huge success. – On the cover of Vintage Guitar Magazine, March 2003! – Featured in the Mighty BUZZ BIN, Guitar World Magazine, Feb. 2003 Issue. Keeley bought out Legendary Tones shortly after the famous George Lynch “Mr. Scary” TMB’s came out. All of the gain and features of those units are finally incorporated in this, all new, 2014 Time Machine Boost.

The George Lynch model Time Machine Boost (GL TMB) by Legendary Tones and Robert Keeley takes the unique voicing of the original acclaimed Time Machine Boost but adds a more aggressive character and bottom end to the tone to suit George Lynch's guitar style and tonal requirements. The pedal has been completely re-engineered from the ground up, as all settings have been revoiced along with added GL features. The GL TMB is the answer for those players that want to push their tube amps to new levels of gain and harmonics while maintaining all the dynamics and articulation of the player itself.

The GL TMB features two completely independent footswitchable channels for both Vintage and Modern flavors of boost. It has been used on top ten hits by Joan Osbourn, What if God was one of us, R.E.M's crush, Collective Soul December, countless ATT commercials, and ZZ Tops last few albums, rythm, etc. Not true bypass, as it works like an old Fender amp tremolo, when ON it cuts the signal in pulses for the tremolo effect.

The Texas Square face was originally designed as a replacement for Stevie Ray Vaughn's fuzz faces, which were always dying. Cesar built his circuit into one of SRVs dead fuzz face boxes and Stevie used it until his unfortunate death.

The square face is similar to the Dallas Arbiter Fuzzface, has Volume and Fuzz knobs, but comes in a small MXR distortion+ sized box. They have a DPDT switch for true bypass. Here is some info from Cesar :

The square face is NPN not PNP..it comes with two germaniums but it has transistor sockets and two silicons are included for more gain. They can also be combined, for different tones. Changing positions will also help!! You can really hear it on the SRV album "IN STEP"...cesar...

They are now powdercoated instead of painted, which is stronger and looks better. Also the inside is coated so it should not corrode.
