Inspired by the mythical transparent overdrive pedal, the KB-1 Overdrive+ is a custom professional Overdrive and Distortion pedal capable of transparent subtle drive to high gain boost.

We replicated the idea and phenomenal tone of the classic drive pedal and implemented the option of extra distortion capabilities engaged with a second footswitch. Your signal can now go from crystal clear boost, to classic overdrive, and into higher gain distortion - fuzzy sustain with the second footswitch engaging our Boost feature. All from one pedal, and without having to tinker with settings. Just kick on the added boost footswitch and let the notes scream and sustain.

Clipping NOS vintage Germanium Diodes from Russia give a sparkling overdrive while the drive circuit maintains the clean signal’s tonal integrity. Running with 24 volts of headroom, your signal integrity stays intact.

The additional ”Boost” stage allows the option to feed a higher gain, soft clipping silicon based distortion. Allowing you to color and saturate the channel, while maintaining the nuances of the overdrive. An additional Level control allows you to fine tune the Boost's master volume to tailor the drive to your setup.

Basic Function

Footswitch “I” engages pedal on/off. When clicked on (orange LED) you are in classic Overdrive mode with VOL, TONE, and GAIN knobs active. The vintage NOS Russian germanium diodes are activated as the GAIN knob is increased.

Footswitch “II” engages our proprietary Boost function (red LED), and heavier distortion capabilities are unleashed. In this mode all 5 knobs are active and will interact with each other.

Secret function

If desired, you may pre engage “Boost” mode by clicking Footswitch “II” before the pedal is turned on with Footswitch “I”. This will take the pedal straight into Boost settings when the pedal is clicked on with Footswitch I. Red LED will light and all 5 knobs will be active

The EX Tower by Solodallas is an exact reproduction of a recently discovered interactive combination of studio grade compression, expansion, optical limiting, boost and EQ effects. This delicately balanced circuit may very well be the missing link between many legendary guitarists known for their unmistakable tone and sustain.

This all-analog unit is a reproduction of the tone enhancing circuitry contained within the most widely used wireless system throughout the 1970's to mid 1980's, the Schaffer Vega Diversity System (SVDS). Emphatic users of the SVDS included Angus Young, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Carlos Santana, Peter Frampton, Peter Green, Joe Walsh, Don Felder, Elliot Randall, Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir... and an endless list of legends who are responsible for some of the best guitar parts ever recorded.

Most popular digital amps lack an FX loop interface, forcing traditional loopers to connect via the guitar input. This means if you record a clean loop and then switch to distortion for soloing, the clean loop also becomes distorted.

Unlike traditional loopers, ULooper connects to amps via USB, ensuring your looped sound remains unchanged even when changing your amp's tones and presets.

Additionally, it adds a Line Out feature to your amp, enabling easy connections to external speakers without muting the amp's own speaker, unlike the headphone output, which does.

In 1982, Tom Scholz—visionary guitarist and founder of pioneering hard rock band Boston—designed and released the Rockman X100 headphone amp through his electronics company Scholz Research & Development (SR&D). But it was more than just a headphone amp—with recording console connectivity and several tone tweaking features and built-in effects, the X100 became the secret weapon in the studio that would go on to define the polished, chorus-laden sound of 1980s arena rock.

The MXR Rockman X100 Analog Tone Processor revives the signature sonic character of that headphone amp in stompbox form. Aided by veteran MXR engineer and SR&D alum Bob Cedro, the MXR design team captured the same crystalline cleans, crunchy harmonics, and shimmering modulation as the original. This is a modern reproduction of ROCKMAN SUSTAINOR Model 100A serial number 13000 by HTJ-WORKS.

The basic functions and circuit configuration are based on the actual machine. The major change is that we have reproduced ROCKMAN's unique ±8V power supply instead of the normal power supply's DC9V voltage.

・PREGAIN This is the first operation after input. Here the input sensitivity is adjusted via a ROCKMAN specific buffer. ・SUSTAIN The analog feedback circuit allows 4 stages of compression operation. Adds sustain to the tone. This unit does not have a GAIN control like a typical effector, but the basic gain is set according to the PREGAIN and SUSTAIN levels. ・NOISEGATE This is the basic circuit of SR&D's SMARTGATE function. This is placed before the preamp and can be completely bypassed by turning it on/off. ・BOOST This circuit applies only to EDGE/LEAD mode and is placed at the exit of the SUSTAIN circuit, increasing the volume one more step. ・SEMI.C Applies to CLEAN2 mode only. Clipping is added, giving the sound a slight edge. It is characterized by a crunchy sound. ・PHASE SHIFT It's a very simple feature, but I think it plays an important role in the character of ROCKMAN's sound. This simple circuit uses five dual op amps. Essentially, manipulating the phase allows you to fine-tune the clarity and structure of your sound. ・TREBLE Tone control applies only to EDGE/LEAD mode. The more you turn it to the right, the more the high frequencies are emphasized, creating a crunchy distortion. ・RTHM_VOL This is a MID control placed before the volume control circuit. When turned fully clockwise, the resistance value decreases, producing a sound with a stronger attack. ・VOL Unlike regular volume controls, instead of dropping (shorting) the signal to ground, it uses a variable compound resistor to increase or decrease the volume. Therefore, the volume will not go to 0 like normal equipment. ・T-BOOST This function allows you to adjust the settings to match the connected equipment, such as a guitar amp or power amp. Basically, it is used in combination with the VOL control to adjust the output level. This will further emphasize the treble. The T-BOOST gain will also change depending on the VOL composite resistance ratio, so adjusting the two as one control will make it easier to create the sound.

[Summary of each 4Ch mode] GATE, PHASE, etc. are assumed to be OFF CLEAN MODE/ This is a clean signal that does not pass through the standard output cabinet simulation. It features a natural clean with only compression added to the buffered sound and a strong attack.

Clean 2 mode/ A one-stage amplifier circuit is built in after the CLEAN circuit, and the diode clip and constant switching are performed using the SEMI.C switch. This is a circuit that has passed cabinet simulation. This is a clean sound that is more like an effector.

EDGE/ Basically it uses the same circuit as LEAD MODE. The actual machine had a mode with the AUTO CLEAN function, but this machine mainly has a few different constants.

LEAD/ The distortion is one step stronger than EDGE.
