DESCRIPTION

The Razor Fuzz is an intense, spitty, gated fuzzbox, with a ‘virtual plectrum’ facility; choose which one of four virtual plectrums you’d like to use!

FUZZ The fuzz circuitry is all analog - our own original circuit - and is very ‘alive’ sounding, with zingy highs possible, and boomy out-of-proportion lows. The ‘extra’ switch gives even more gain to the fuzz, and adds a dash more hi-mid, with less bass.

It’s designed to be really fun to use, and for a very high-gain circuit is amazingly quiet when you don’t play.

The fuzz is always on when the pedal’s engaged.

‘PLECTRUM’

What’s on offer are all digital, with their volume adjusted by the ‘pick volume’ knob (from none at all, up to too much - possibly). There’s…

‘Sandpaper’ - adds extra impact to low rocky ‘chugged’ chords, and more attack to single high notes. Sometimes sounds like a cabasa (shaker) playing along with your rhythm playing.

‘Metal’ is like false ‘pinched harmonics’ - turns a hi-gain fuzz solo into Hair Metal ‘25!!! Adds a sparkly Techno attack to each note.

‘Metal long’ adds a slightly mad edge to everything; mixed together with single notes gives a neat random ring modulator effect.

‘1-note’ tuned to the song’s key adds that note to everything you play - a tuneable pedal note over the top of the chord progression, a root-note harmony to a lead line.

‘Metal long’ and ‘1-note’ do give an overall impression of a piano player playing along with you, in a rock’n’roll/Mike Garson (Bowie pianist) kind of way!!!!

The Razor Fuzz detects your (real) pick attack, and adds an extra one, hugely exaggerating the leading edge attack, and creating unique sounds. The Ratatouille Distortion was inspired by the 80's Pro Co RAT Distortion Pedal it features an original circuit that has an amp like distortion with lots of harmonics and touch sensitivity.

The filter knob works just like the old RAT pedal as you turn up the filter you get a darker sound.
