It is an OVERDRIVE pedal
Definitely not a high gainer. I just used it for a few days when I was testing various distortion pedals. Again, if you look for an overdrive with more low-end, this might be something for you.

A good buy
Got the red one '84 (Red w/ Floyd Rose™). The guitar needed a minor setup (string action was at 4mm!, the bridge was slightly tilted). There were some minor paint flaws. Other than that - the neck is a wee bit fat but not that chunky I expected - 22 mm (0.86") at the first fret, 24 (0.94") at the 12th. You can get used to it. The access to the upper frets could be better. The single Seymour Duncan JB humbucker pickup does the job; I usually don't use the middle or neck pickup so I am pretty happy with it. You can, however, do some coil tapping from time to time. The tremolo (Floyd Rose 1000) stays in tune almost perfectly even after some crazy FR sessions. As of now, I am not planning to install a tremol-no, althought I already bought one. Overall, a good buy.
