I love it! Van Halenize your fixed bridge or TOM bridge and say bye bye to Floyd Rose! Dying battery sounds, classic divebombs, motorbike sounds, you name it.

Long long time ago
I used to use thick picks (like Dunlop Tortex Jazz III) Now I am using 0.80 and 0.60. Things change.

Good
After switching from Proel to Klotz, I can say that the difference is night and day. The difference in sound quality as well as longevity.

User-friendly
A perfect practice amp that has it all - a precise tuner, built-in reverb and delay (tap tempo avaliable!) that can be used independently and at the samne time, plus a bunch of modulation effects (don't use them but have 'em). TBH I only use two amp emulations - PV 5150 (Peavey 5150) and TRIPLE (Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier). Both sound good. There is a Master volume. No FX Loop, though. Long story short - user-friendly tuner, usable delay and reverb, decent sounds, and small size - works for me.

Great for fast passages
The grip is very good they slip well on the strings and have a smooth feeling between the fingers. Need I say more? I can only stress that they are great for fast passages. I used to use 1mm picks, but now I see that 0.60-0.80 are the best for me when it comes to licks and solos. However, as of today I stick to these Grover Allman picks (0.80) when playing fast stuff. Maybe because of this Polycarbonate material??? Highly recommended!

Does the job
Can be used for downtuning or as a poor man's trans trem system. Think Summer Nights by Van Halen. I mostly use it for slight tuning down, e.g. half step down from E standard. Plus it is easy on the eye.

True bypass...
I always wanted a Vox, but I learned about the hardwire bypass on Vox wahs, and experienced heavy volume drop with them... so I went with this one. Now I am using the "V" setting, after a few years of goung with the "L" setting. Plus it is compact and true bypass. The only downsides - no led (maybe its a plus?) and the need to use a screwdriver to get tom the settings switch.

Awesome sound for a practice amp
The built-in effects are of very good quality, e.g. the built-in flanger is way better than TC Vortex flanger. Th reverb is another thing where this amp shines. The amp models are really good too, with Mesa-Boogie/Rectifier being the best. The only downside for me is the very basic tuner. OK, you can tune up to standard EADGBE, but what about drop tunings? NO FX Loop too, but I am not crazy about it.

TC always pisses me off
If you want to have nice Thin Lizzy/Judas Priest/Iron Maiden etc. harmonies, you have to run it either after dirt/distortion pedal or in FX loop. The manufacturer has not stated it in the manual. In fact, no manual in the box, it can be found only online. So, few days after I sold my MXR Super Badass, I had to buy it again, cause I could not use it with a distorted amp;( What is more, TC is usually misleading about their stuff. In the Flashback 2 manual they used to claim that it has audio tapping function, while it doesn't. Funny thing is that the first video demo for Quintessence had a guy wo ran the quintessence before distorted amp. This is crazy! Last but not least it requires intermediate to advanced harmony/scale knowledge - so definitely not for all.

Close but no cigar...
I just made a quick comparison between EHX cock fight plus and this one. While the build quality is definitely better, Redkid falls short when it comes to its primary task - talk box simulation. Vowels should be way more throaty and, in addition, when combined with higher gain levels, the effect produces unpleasant noise. So not bad, but definitely not great. In addition, the pedal is really tiny and using it without "unfolded" extension rings is really a pain in the...

It's the classic wah
Nice chrome finish. But remember it affected the overall volume, I don't remember exactly but is supposethere was a significant volume drop when engagaed. So a bummer. Plus it was hard to turn it on.

A lot of modes, no self-oscillation
This pedal means a lot fun for tinkerers. Many delay modes (including reverse delay and tape echo simulation) plus up to 2 seconds of delay time. However, if someone is looking for self-oscillation, this pedal won't give you what you need. OK, you can dial something that CAN be decribed as self-oscillation, but the overall result is definitely not satisfactory. Anyone, a good one!

Great array of tones, from light overdrive to extreme high gain metal sounds
I used it with my little "toy" practice amp Orange Micro Crush and, when the pedal was on, I could play anything with it. I think that this speaks volumes about the quality of the effect and the amounts of gain that this pedal is able to produce. When playing through better amps, I engage it when using TC Quintessence harmonizer, as harmonizer shoul go into clean amp and after dirt (distortion pedal). Look no further - it is the ultimate distortion pedal.

It is a keeper!
It is a good analog delay simulation. It has two modes - allowing for max. delay time of 20-600ms, and 600-1100 miliseconds. It can easily go into self-oscillation mode and self-oscillate like a madman. And it is pink, haha. Highly recommended.

Decent "analog" delay
I used to have it. It is quite good digital emulation of analog delay. It is really easy to get self-oscillation mode, which is brilliant if someone is interested in this stuff. However, AFAIAC, maximum delay time is rather short, just about 440 miliseconds. That said, for the price, it is a good one.

its rare to encounter an old delay that goes over 600ms, there are analogs that do 1100 out there, but not many and most of them are in huge enclosures, they're also noisier due to the amount of BBD chips ganged up to make the delay longer. Guess artec was just being true to the delay times of 80scompact pedals

If you are looking for high gain pedal, check out MXR 75 Super Badass
Unless you have a quality amp, this pedal is not good for high gain stuff like tapping etc. Not enough sustain too. Just to make it clear: this pedal won't give you "Van Halen sound". No way. Like i said before, for high gain sound check out "Super Badass".

its basically an 80s spec DS1, there are a few tweaks to address the DS1s shortcomings but its clone... the gold Badass OD is an SD1

To be avoided
Unless you have a quality amp, this little pedal won't provide you decent amounts of gain. The only positive thing about this pedal, and the whole mini mod series, is that it looks cool. But that's it.
