Great little keyboard!
It's a fairly basic preset keyboard with lots of fun sounds and a built in output. The keys are obviously small, but usable and I find it very strange they included split presets considering there's only 32 keys. The sounds are great, there are weird FM-ish sounds among the lo-fi PCM samples. From what I understand this one has better quality samples than some of the other portasound synths, but it isn't FM based like the PSS-140 and 170. The drum machine is pretty cool considering it's only 4 sounds. There's a huge blue ad-lib button on the front that plays a random melody from a few pre-programmed ones and it keeps me wondering what was their intention.

Quirky 90's japanese multi fx
Found this one very cheap and decided to give it a shot, since I lack outboard effects and it has some interesting features. The reverbs have that disgusting 90's digital character, almost as dirt sounding as the old Alesis 'verbs. It's charming. The flanger, chorus, pitch shifter and delay is great as well. There's also a simple vocoder that uses the microphone input on the front as a modulator and the left input on the back for carrier. The less interesting features are the rotary speaker simulator (weirdly timed flanger with reverb?) and vocal distortion (overdriven pingpong delay with a chorus effect). There's also a "Zoom Noise Reduction" preset that doesn't make an audible difference to the signal with my setup. Overall it's a cool unit, I like it a lot. Not the best option if you want a clean sounding reverb, but since it's so cheap I think it's well worth picking up for the vocoder alone.

does it have any bad amp simulation like the halfrack units trent reznor used in the 90s?

No, it doesn't have any distortion either, just the effects I mentioned. I've had a first gen Zoom G1 a few years ago and it sounds very similar. My guess is they used more or less the same technology for their fx units through the 90's.

The best reverb plugin in my opinion
This is my go-to reverb for every occasion. The interface is simple and easy to use, and it just sounds so damn great! The fact that it's completely free just adds to it's value. Highly recommended!

you can get freeware like MIDI-OX to dump your patches to a computer as sysex data a bank of 16 at a time... then you just load up the bank you need for whatever you're doing. I've done it with mine.

Great little groovebox
The Spark is very easy to get into, the UI is clean and transparent, the controller feels great to use and the included library is great. I found the presets a little lacking, but you can change and edit sounds to your heart's content. Ableton integration is a bit weird, but it's workable with a little patience. I have actually made complete songs just jamming on the standalone version and recording the output.
