The 6505+ head is very loud, unbelievably so, in a bedroom setting or in an apartment dont expect to even bring volume to 1. Overall it has a nice crisp sound for the cleans, has a good amount of tube breakup with the pre amp pushed on the clean channel, even more so with the crunch. The red channel is great with the gain pre at 5 being pushed with an overdrive pedal. Overall a good solid investment with a mind for budget.

I received this amplifier as my first real amp after my starter amp died. This amplifier screams 80's classic rock with its distortion sounding more like a classic overdrive. Spring reverb sounds great and it gets a distinct tone in recordings, not always desirable but unique. I run a distortion pedal into the lead gain channel with the supersat at 0 and then push the pedal with an overdrive and get some amazing 80's lead tones.

So this cab came with a line 6 HD 147 head. Sold the head and kept the cab as it had celestions that werent too shabby. The celestion speakers within are seventy eighties customized with line 6 in mind. That being said they dont sound terrible, they have fairly tight low end and the mids are passable but the highs can be a little grating. At some point i will get a better cab but for the money its not bad.

I bought this pedal back in 2005 and it still works today as of july 2017. Thats over 12 years of use and it has stood up to alot. It is durable and the tone is quite usable for both recordings and for attaining a good distortion from solid state amplifiers. I use the smooth setting, gate 1 sometimes but mostly gate 2, gain at 4 or 6, the level i use as needed, both tone knobs maxed out so that the amps EQ does all the shaping. Minor shaping of the tone before hand with overdrive also helps the end result but even without it still a great sound,

This is a god send, best noise reducer/gate i have used. Cleans up the volume push from my overdrive pedal before it hits my tube amp, quiet until i pick and quickly clamps down. Cannot stress how much it was worth the money.

This was given to me as a gift, i use it to push the volume in my 6505+ tube head to get a more punchy and aggressive distortion sound. It sits right in front of a morely bad horsie wah and behind a ISP decimator II as its volume boost or gain boost tend to be rather noisy if not muted. This is to be expected of an overdrive. Sounds great by itself with a fender strat for a classic rock sound as well.

The way this works is genius, no switch to clamp onto it simply starts as soon as you press down on it meaning you dont need to start your wah at the end of its sound envelope but at the begining where it will sound coolest. It also switches off when not pressed so it conserves power/battery. Its sound isnt adjustable like later versions but honestly the contours are very tastefully done. I put this at the begining of my pedal board right after a tuner as it sounds best before the distortion rather than after it.

The version I am using has had the pickups swapped out, a JB in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck, a quite common setup. The original pickups were ok but not very high output. The guitar itself is beautiful, mine is bright red flame maple, the neck is very comfortable for playing and it is excellent for leads. It didnt break the bank in price either. A solid choice.

I bought this guitar for 100 dollars 110 after tax. The pickups are hot and high output for passives, the tone is excellent, everything i would expect from a guitar in this style. It is heavy weight wise, just like an LP or single cutaway of a similar build, this helps its overall sound quality, it is thinner profile than an LP so a little more comfort there. Full 24 frets and this is a great selling point for me as it has an advantage over the 22 fret LP but the scale length remains the same. For the money it is a pheonomenal axe.

I first bought this guitar in 2006 for 375 after tax. My first real shredding axe, It has aged well and thanks to the pickup covers they havent needed to be replaced. They could be swapped out for higher output pickups but overall this is the tone of randy rhoads and other metal legends at a fraction of the cost. It also looks pretty amazing on stage and definitely stands out.
