Great pedal

This is an impeccable compressor for both guitar and bass, and it really ably recreates the sound of a rackmount compressor unit that would be used in the recording studio.

Solid

Allows for great tone shaping, that a lot of other EQ’s don’t offer. I use this almost exclusively with bass. It is a little noisy however and the lights are so damn bright

Great

Really great bass amp for home use. EQ is a little bit lacklustre in my opinion though but that’s fine because I run an EQ pedal into this

A godsend

An absolute blessing for anybody who uses a tube amplifier. It allows you to run your amplifier nice and loud in order to get that gorgeous tube breakup without bothering your neighbours or damaging your ears. The only complaints I really have are that it sometimes distorts your signal a little at really high volumes, and it’s fugly. But that’s a good sacrifice for what you get in return

Great patch cables

Very affordable, sufficient length and not much humming/buzzing noises. I would buy more but I use a Multi-FX unit instead nowadays, so they aren’t really that necessary anymore

Decent

Very expensive for a slide in my opinion. Also quite gimmicky. But it is quite a cool gimmick to be honest and it’s definitely still a useful piece of equipment.

Great entry level bass guitar

For the price you cannot complain. Although the electronics are a bit meh, the bass plays great and stays in tune well. Great for someone who’s starting to get into playing bass

Amazing

Incredible multi fx unit. Admittedly the learning curve for it is a little steep, although that might just be because i’m a bit of a tech-tard and (up until this magical thing came into my life) I’ve always just used analog pedals/effects. I used to be desperate for a huge pedalboard that covered all bases sonically, with everything from lush choruses to nasty sounding ring-mods and everything in between, but now with the POD Go I have every effect I could ever dream of at my fingertips.

Lol

As far as solid state bedroom amps go, you can’t complain. While the clean tone leaves a lot to be desired and the amp’s EQ controls are very rudimentary, the distortion is awesome. It gives you the nasty, fuzzy solid state distortion that we all know and love. Amazing bedroom amplifier, but it kind of ends there.

Good tube amp

I acquired this for an absolute steal (around £500 GBP). Amazing tube amp, gives you that signature shimmering clean tone of a Fender amp yet takes distortion and pedals really well. However it is a lot better suited for a gigging guitar player, because unless you use a power attenuator this is way too loud to use in a home environment.

Main electric

My main electric guitar. Really cool MIJ Jaguar/Jazzmaster style with (evidently) some Stratocaster inspiration. I love the way this guitar plays and sounds, however unfortunately these guitars are discontinued as Fernandes doesn’t make guitars anymore, so are often very difficult to get your hands on if you live outside of Japan. I think I was very lucky to acquire one of these before Fernandes went bust

Meh

The perfect gauge for a pick (at least for me) but they wear so quickly and the grip leaves a lot to be desired if you’re a more heavy-handed guitar player

Amazing

I’ll only ever use Ernie Ball strings. Perfect sound - not too bright or too dark, stays fresh for long, and very hard wearing. I almost never break these strings

Great budget acoustic

Very affordable, my primary guitar. Solid, only real complaint is it could stay in tune a bit better

My little mod project

One of my first good guitars. Bought for almost nothing. At the time, I thought it sounded amazing but it probably didn’t help that, at that time, it was the best guitar I had ever played. Several modifications and years later, it does sound a lot better, however it’s a little heavy for my liking and it still doesn’t stay in tune as well as I would like. Oh well.

great guitar

Really great build quality. It sounds great, a bit like a Fender Telecaster (obviously) but a little more modern and less twangy. Feels amazing to play as well. Only real complaint is that it struggles to perform as well with heavier music, although if you expect a Tele to be a metal guitar you’ll have another thing coming.
