I love mine, but sentimentally.

If you're a beginner and want something that you're buying new to learn on, don't buy one of these. Mine was given to me for free, and I have modded it beyond recognition, but the quality control on these things is non existent. The setup on. mine made the fretboard a mountain range, the nut is at a 45 degree angle from E string to G string, the original electronics were quiet and poor sounding, and there was no springs or foam to keep the pickups in place, amongst other things. I have made mine a bass that i love and that works for me, and i value the strength it gave me in my hands to play a neck so tough, but if you want something that will help your bass journey be as unhindered by the quality of your bass as possible, there are so much better options for you. Still love mine though, and take it if its cheap/free!

All you need from a guitar at any level of playing.

Robust, great sounding and well playing instrument with an amazing look and feel. Telecasters are great for your playing, particularly if you traditionally gravitate towards complex and endlessly versatile guitars with millions of switches as I personally do. Love my tele, and think this series of Made In Mexico Guitars are all you really truly need as a player.
