In 1986, Leonid Musaev, a luthier and radio engineer, created the Presicion Bass, which differed fundamentally from the canonical Fender. He used flamed maple for the body and neck and ebony for the fingerboard. The differences lie in the geometry of the bass guitar itself, which is clearly visible on the body and neck. To make the headstock, the master turned to artist Mikhail Rumyantsev, who drew a logo featuring Mighty Mouse, a cartoon character well known in the USSR at the time. Later, fans and Igor himself nicknamed this bass ‘Mickey Bass.’ In 1987, the base of the Jungle band, in which Igor played, was robbed by intruders, and this bass was stolen. The fate of the original is still unknown. In 2022, inspired by it, the master Red-Wave from Minsk, well-known in narrow circles, completely recreated it.
