Description

In 1986, Leonid Musaev, a luthier and radio engineer, created the Presicion Bass, which differed fundamentally from the canonical Fender. He used flamed maple for the body and neck and ebony for the fingerboard. The differences lie in the geometry of the bass guitar itself, which is clearly visible on the body and neck. To make the headstock, the master turned to artist Mikhail Rumyantsev, who drew a logo featuring Mighty Mouse, a cartoon character well known in the USSR at the time. Later, fans and Igor himself nicknamed this bass ‘Mickey Bass.’ In 1987, the base of the Jungle band, in which Igor played, was robbed by intruders, and this bass was stolen. The fate of the original is still unknown. In 2022, inspired by this piece, renowned Belarusian luthier Dmitry Sedun completely recreated it in his "Red Wave Custom" workshop.

In 1986, Igor Tikhomirov was in search of a new bass guitar. He turned to Leonid Musaev, a well-known guitar master and radio electronic engineer. He created the Presicion Bass, but in a fundamentally different way from the canonical Fender. He used Flame Maple for the deck and neck and ebony for the fingerboard. The differences lie in the geometry of the bass itself, clearly visible on the body and neck. For Headstock, the master turned to artist Mikhail Rumyantsev, who drew a logo featuring Mighty mouse. Later on, the fans and Igor himself nicknamed this bass as Mickey Bass In 1987, the base of the band Jungle, in which Igor played, was robbed by scoundrels and this bass was stolen. The fate of the original is still unknown. In 2022, inspired by it, the well-known in narrow circles master Red-Wave from Minsk completely recreated it.

Gustav was a rhythmically focused person. That's why Georgy played the bass parts that Igor Tikhomirov found boring and difficult.
