The Complete Package
Very complete mixing plugin, and it sounds great. Distortion is a bit over the top and didn't necessarily do what I expected, but I can see it's purpose and I look forward to using it a lot.

My Massive Replacement
I started using FM8 so that I could stray away from Massive (I really don't like the sound of it very much), but I found that I couldn't use it for leads with my knowledge of FM. I picked up Serum while it was on sale in the first month, and I am not disappointed. With just a saw wave, envelopes, LFOs, and the built in effects, I am able to create a ton of unique sounds. Warning: using the default saw wave will cause you to make a lot of Deadmau5 like sounds. Not that that's a bad thing.

Sounds good.
I'm not really picky when it comes to sound cards, because I don't use much outboard gear, but it sounds nice I guess. I've been having trouble using headphones though, especially when using 3.5mm to 1/4" adapters. I've only been able to get the headphone jack working with a small guitar amp connected using a 1/4" cable.

Amazing software, crappy piano roll, crashes.
I've only been using Ableton for a short time, as I just switched over from Logic (I had a myriad of problems with Logic, but I won't go into detail here). I really like the software, as everything is fast and easy to reach, but it is in no way perfect. My two main problems are the piano roll, and the program's instability. The piano roll is less than stellar, and although I do like triplet grid, I would like to see something that is better for mouse editing, like FL's. The most annoying thing though, is the crashing. From time to time it will just crash, even with very few instruments and effects open. I'd like to see these two complaints addressed in the next version.

Great Sound, Bad Noisefloor, and Don't Work Sometimes.
These monitors sound great, I'll give them that, but they aren't perfect. They're not particularly accurate, and have more of a hi-fi sound to be honest. The noise floor is also pretty high, and there is an audible hiss if the track volume isn't high enough. My main complaint with them, however, is that my left monitor just flat out doesn't work. Before, it was much quieter than my right monitor, but after a while, would warm and reach the same volume. Now it just doesn't produce any sound. I don't know if it's just mine, but be wary if you're looking to purchase a pair.

Lots of Stuff!
Includes great synthesizers that are extremely flexible, and great effects as well. My only complaint is the lack of a powerful digital distortion unit (I know, Guitar Rig, but I'd like something more along the lines of Trash or Ohmicide).
