Frank Iero – Stomachaches

In this video Frank can be seen playing his signature Epiphone Wilshire Phant-o-matic, whilst wearing a Ernie Ball red polypro guitar strap.

Frank Iero sold his Danelectro DC-3 on his official Reverb.com shop. He stated that he bought the guitar after borrowing a similar model from Rob Cavallo, and used it to add a “shimmery” tone to some songs on The Black Parade. He also used it on his solo album Stomachaches.

He designed this guitar with Epiphone to make a lighter guitar than the Les Paul Elitest series guitars with the same sound, plus some modifications.

"This guitar was from the first run of Epiphone Phantomatics that we made available to the public. “Dead Mickey”, named for the decapitated Mickey Mouse I made and affixed to it, became one of my main guitars for the World Contamination Tour until she was smashed on stage and decommissioned. Frank Iero uses the Bowman Audio Endeavors Bellyacher distortion pedal, which was created in collaboration with Iero to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his album "Stomachaches." In the video shared by Iero on Instagram, he is seen demonstrating the pedal.
