Guitars used by Gerry Marsden on Ferry Cross The Mersey (Performed Live On The Ed Sullivan Show/1965)
Rickenbacker 360/12 12-String Hollowbody
Avg price: $2,872.67
In this performance at The Ed Sullivan Show in 1965, Gerry Marsden plays his 1964 Rickenbacker 360/12 in fireglo finish. Note that this was before the sides of the 360 got rounded.
In one of music gear writer Andy Babiuk's books, he mentions that Brian Epstein ordered the 360/12 for Gerry, "identical to George's" while in New York with The Beatles in February 1964. Gerry's guitar would therefore have been one of the first five 12-stringed Rickenbackers' made.
