Nirvana – Live At The Paramount

Replaced Kurt's DS-1 around 1992. Kurt still used the same settings like his DS-1 and kept it in Mode 1. Can be seen in the Unplugged show, Live at Reading, and a handful of other shows, usually before his Small Clone.

Cobain used a 1966 Jaguar during the Nevermind tour and In Utero tour. He got this guitar with a Dimarzio PAF and a Dimarzio Super Distortion already in the guitar. But later he would put a Tune o' matic Bridge in the guitar, this guitar can be seen throughout the video.

In this photo Cobain can be seen with a Japanese-Made 1991 Fender Stratocaster. K-Serial Number. It has undergone many Neck changes over time (in this photo shows the original Fender neck) which than by October 1991 had a Fernandes Strat Neck installed (which was also made in the Fejigen Factory in Japan same Factory that makes Fender Japan Guitars) This Guitar was later destroyed while preforming Live at the Paramount in 1991 while preforming the song "Endless Nameless" (During which at 0:59 the Fernandes Headstock can be seen). The Next time the "Vandalism" Stratocaster was seen was at the 11/25/1991 Paradiso, Amsterdam NL show which now had a Kramer Neck installed on it, it was used until 12/07/1991 when this guitar was destroyed....and Never used again.... (Sometime in 1992 Kurt's guitar Tech Earnie Bailey added a New Fender Neck to the body but Kurt never used it again) it Now sits in a Unidentified Secret Storage Facility in Seattle WA.

In the live performance of "Territorial Pissings" at the Paramount in 1991, Kurt Cobain used a Marshall 1960A 4x12" Cabinet, as seen in the NirvanaVEVO video.

Kurt Cobain used a Marshall 4x12 cabinet with Celestion G12T-75 speakers, likely from the 1980s, during the recording of "Nevermind" and on tour before "In Utero." Numerous photos from 1991 to 1992 further document its use, including performances like "Live at the Paramount" in 1991.

Krist Novoselic used the Gibson RD Artist Bass during Nirvana's "Nevermind" recordings and live performances. In the video "Nirvana - Breed (Live At The Paramount/1991)" at 02:30, you can clearly see the two switches and humbuckers characteristic of the RD Artist Bass, distinguishing it from the standard RD model.

"Krist's distortion pedal of choice." (as mentioned by Earnie Bailey, NIRVANA's guitar tech, and heard on many recordings (like Nevermind and maybe In Utero).

Revised source: Novoselic’s Pro Co RAT 2 can be clearly seen at NIrvana’s perforance in 1991 at the Paramount at the timestamp, 6:07, identifiable by its knob layout and logo font. The pedal in question is placed near Novoselic’s Mesa amps, so it must be his, not Kurt’s.
