Daniel Johns bought this Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar (ebony finish) in late 1997, and it was used for some Freak Show shows in Drop-D tuning and most notably the 1997 Recovery TV show (clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPfu9IeJlvw). Now tuned in Open Db: (Db-Ab-Db-Ab-Db-Db) and used for Emotion Sickness, Without You, Paint Pastel Princess, and Spawn Again since Neon Ballroom tours. Daniel used his red Gibson SG throughout his career acquiring many modifications and stickers over the years Whilst using it occasionally on early tours it became his main E standard guitar during The Neon Ballroom and Diorama era particularly songs like Ana’s Song, Steam Will Rise and Black Tangled Heart. There are photos of Daniel playing this guitar in the Frogstomp era but very few.
