In this video, at 1:40, it comes clear into view that Sinéad is playing a single-coil 50s-style (???) Fender Telecaster with a maple fingerboard. Wiki says she played her own electric guitar parts on her first album (The Lion and the Cobra) and this would seem to corroborate that fact.
