In this January 21, 2017 TalkBass response, Kevin says he used this cab when recording “Shut Up And Dance”.
Sorry to chime in late here, but just thought I would give you the tone rundown for SUAD. I recorded it with a completely unnamed pedal that was handbuilt (i'll try and figure out what that thing was and get back to ya), direct into an avalon and into protools. It's layered with the sound of my Ashdown ABM head going into a basic SVT Classic cab. As far as live, I used to use an Ibanez Bass Tube Screamer and/or a JHS 4-wheeler, into my Ashdown ABM through an AMB 610 cab. Nowadays I use a Brimstone crossover distortion. I never used to use any compression live but now i use a Strymon OB-1
Hoped that helped,
Kevin - Bass
