best kit i have ever played

I bought my Rogers Kit second hand. i am the proud second owner it has had from new . I have all its previous history even a photograph of the previous drummer that owned it . Its a Rogers Big R made in London 1976 and its a gold metallic shimmer. It changes color under different lighting from gold to orange to silver yellow and opaque its almost like an opal.. the drums are 5 ply shells with a distinctive grey primer speckle paint job on the inside of each shell.

Great sounding drum kit

Its one of the only drum kits i have ever bought new in the boxes. Its 1994 and sounds great studio or live. I have used it for many different genre from funk to rock to Brit pop, indie back to rock and soul and funk again. It just sounds clear crisp and fun to play . It also looks good but sounds better

its red and it rocks

had this kit a few years i bought it to give the Rogers a break from wear and tear on the road. Deep loud and looks like a rockers kit. So fitted nicely into the blues rock covers genre . It came to me in a worked state so hopefully may become a project for future renovation soon. But works as it is as a utility kit.

lush and tone-full wash

I love this cymbal i use it mainly as a utility cymbal but miss it when i forget to hang it live or rest it in place of a 14" or 16 avedis rock cymbal..It has a great tone and wash for crescendo's and stop cymbal stabs ...bought in 1990 its been part of my set up on and off ..but i always go looking for it as its sound is inviting and like nothing i have ever played with its fresh bronze overtones that are both warm and crisp.

distinct sounding cymbal

this cymbal i acquired 1989 at the time i was in a covers show band so was looking for something bright and intermediate it never failed to deliver. its funky poppy and jazzy tones buzz from the ridges from each hit. a long mellow decay and clear overtones makes it my third choice ride in my collection.

adds color to my set

purchased this cymbal 2009 and its been in my wash of cymbals ever since . it adds color and dynamics to my cymbal pallet as when i drum i see color as an artist does when he paints . its thin but gives a big or small decay and is universal in my overall sound .

earthy bronze

had this cymbal since 1994 bought off a pal its been dropped on the floor by a bass player and it still keeps going. its my current first choice along with a 20" medium ride i use as a crash ride...great in the studio and live orsum bell and very dark sounding ...makes mice deaf !

great live and for studio

my quick beats are second choice and have served me well through jazz funk and commercial rock genre. Great tight sound ideal both on stage and for close studio mike work.

Great live or studio hats

These are my first choice hats universally good both in the studio and live ...they sound cuts were other's fade and fail . My current Hats are 1968 vintage still delivering power and energy.
