About
Aeroplane is the brainchild of Vito De Luca, an Italian-Belgian producer whose innovative approach to electronic music has made waves in the nu-disco and Balearic scenes. Originating from Belgium, Aeroplane has become synonymous with a unique blend of disco, French house, and alternative dance, often blurring the lines between electronic and pop. Known for his party-starting DJ sets and chart-topping remixes, De Luca has collaborated with notable artists like Alex Metric and Purple Disco Machine, while simultaneously releasing acclaimed projects under his own name.
How to Sound Like Aeroplane
Aeroplane's sound is characterized by its rich, analog warmth and danceable grooves, often achieved through the use of vintage synthesizers and intricate production techniques. The Roland Jupiter-8 provides lush pads and hypnotic leads, while the Akai MPC 5000 is crucial for crafting the rhythmic backbone that defines his tracks. His productions often feature smooth, melodic basslines and shimmering synth textures, creating a soundscape that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking. The use of the Ensoniq DP/4 effects processor adds depth and dimension, enhancing the dreamy, yet energetic vibe that makes Aeroplane's music so captivating on the dance floor.
