How to Sound Like Athlete
Athlete's sound is characterized by a polished, melodic style that combines earnest vocal delivery with a rich instrumental backdrop. They craft their songs using jangly guitar riffs and lush keyboard arrangements, creating an uplifting yet introspective atmosphere. Joel Pott's use of a Fender '62 Jaguar Reissue Electric Guitar contributes to the band's signature bright and clean guitar tones. Meanwhile, the rhythmic foundation is provided by Willetts' steady bass lines and Roberts' dynamic drumming, which often feature intricate patterns and subtle flair. The combination of these elements results in a sound that is both engaging and emotionally resonant, with a knack for capturing the essence of the Britpop era while maintaining a contemporary edge.
