Funkadelic is a pioneering American band that emerged from the vibrant music scene of the late 1960s. Formed by George Clinton, the group is a cornerstone of the funk rock, psychedelic rock, and psychedelic soul genres. Initially an offshoot of Clinton's doo-wop ensemble The Parliaments, Funkadelic became known for its boundary-pushing fusion of rock, soul, and funk.
