About
Hardcore Superstar is a dynamic Swedish rock group that fuses the intensity of hard rock and heavy metal with the flamboyant flair of glam rock and sleaze rock. Originating from Gothenburg, the band was formed in the late 1990s and consists of Jocke Berg (vocals), Vic Zino (guitar), Martin Sandvik (bass), and Magnus "Adde" Andreasson (drums). Known for their energetic performances and catchy hooks, Hardcore Superstar has carved out a unique niche in the new wave of glam metal, drawing inspiration from the melodic thrash of their hometown and the glammed-up pop-metal of the 1980s.
How to Sound Like Hardcore Superstar
Hardcore Superstar's sound is characterized by aggressive yet melodic guitar riffs that strike a balance between gritty and polished. This sonic duality is achieved through the use of heavy, overdriven tones complemented by melodic solos and powerful, anthemic choruses. Vic Zino's guitar work often employs instruments like Gibson Les Pauls to deliver rich, saturated sounds, while Adde Andreasson's drumming, utilizing a Tama S.L.P. Black Brass 6,5x14 snare, provides a punchy yet controlled backbone to their music. The bass lines, courtesy of Martin Sandvik, add depth and drive, often locking in with the drums to create a tight, cohesive rhythm section. This combination of raw energy and melodic finesse makes Hardcore Superstar's music both captivating and powerful.
