About
Horna is a Finnish black metal band formed in 1993, known for their raw and uncompromising sound that adheres to the old-school tenets of the genre. Originally called Shadowed, the group was founded by guitarists Shatraug and Moredhel, with the later addition of drummer Gorthaur leading to their initial demo release. Over the years, Horna has seen a revolving lineup, with members like vocalist Nazgul and guitarist Saturnus contributing to its extensive discography, which includes over 30 releases. The band is anchored by its core members, including Corvus on vocals since 2001. Horna's music encapsulates a variety of black metal styles, from atmospheric to chaotic, solidifying their status as a staple in the underground black metal scene.
