Iced Earth is an American heavy metal band that originated in Tampa, Florida, in 1984. Founded by guitarist Jon Schaffer, the group has undergone numerous lineup changes but has consistently delivered intense, powerful music. Notable past and present members include Matthew Barlow (vocals), Stu Block (vocals), Brent Smedley (drums), and Steve DiGiorgio (bass).
