"I’m playing the Ibanez BTB basses now, all which originally came stock with Nordys. But now that they are installing other pickups for the new stock models I am requesting or replacing them to have the Nordstrand Big Singles." https://nordstrandaudio.com/blogs/nordstrand-artists/steve-di-giorgio?_pos=1&_sid=cbbf277ff&_ss=r https://equipboard.com/pros/steve-digiorgio/ibanez-btb1605-btb-premium-5-string https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2F83xVLey3YZE%2Fmaxresdefault.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.basschat.co.uk%2Ftopic%2F252866-ibanez-btb-1405-anyone-got-one-opinions-please%2F&tbnid=OL7YB2gN4fRoQM&vet=12ahUKEwiqsPqd96jrAhU1M3IKHSQbD3cQMygDegQIARAt..i&docid=o4oef84AXZUvYM&w=1280&h=720&q=steve%20digiorgio%20ibanez%20btb%201605&ved=2ahUKEwiqsPqd96jrAhU1M3IKHSQbD3cQMygDegQIARAt

"This is the grand daddy. It goes in and there's a clean channel right here, and you can come straight out of that if you want...This thing is just powerful man. The gain has an overdrive but it's not distortion," says Steve DiGorgio, in this video, around 29:50.
I decided on this 1978 Rickenbacker 4001—completely stock. There’s not one modification on this bass. It’s a totally passive, regular fretted 4-string, an old-school bass.
