Jawbox is a seminal American rock band that emerged from the vibrant Washington, D.C. music scene in the late 1980s. Known for their influential role in the post-hardcore and noise rock genres, the band originally formed as a trio with J. Robbins (vocals, guitar), Kim Coletta (bass), and Adam Wade (drums). Shortly after their debut album, Bill Barbot (guitar) joined, expanding their sound with layered, intricate guitar interplay.
