About
Lettuce is a genre-defying musical collective known for their fusion of funk, jazz funk, and jam band elements. Formed in 1992 by alumni of Berklee College of Music, the six-member group includes Adam Deitch (drums, percussion), Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff (guitar), Erick “Jesus” Coomes (bass), Ryan Zoidis (alto, baritone, tenor sax, Korg X-911), Eric “Benny” Bloom (trumpet, horns), and Nigel Hall (vocals, Hammond B-3, Rhodes, clavinet, keyboards). Lettuce has carved a niche with their dynamic live performances and boundary-pushing studio work, blending strains of hip-hop, rock, psychedelia, and soul into their vibrant soundscape.
